Tarot cards

Connecting with your Tarot cards requires you to really bond with them. There are many ways from journaling, to pulling a card a day, to forge a bond with your cards. One of the best ways to create a truly deep connection is to immerse yourself, or enter, your cards. This weeks Tarot for beginners will show you one way to go about entering your tarot.

The very first thing you need to do is make sure you will not be disturbed in any way. Turn off your phone, find a quite space central to your home so no outside distractions will pull your attention away and make sure you have a notebook and pen near by. (You will need to have it handy after you’ve finished your meditation in order to record what you saw and experienced. This is very important because you should record everything right after you have experienced it so that you don’t leave out or forget stuff.) You will also need to select your card, this can be done purely by intuition, your deck will know which card you need to connect with.

Either lie down or sit comfortably in a chair. Once you are comfortable, hold your selected card in front of you and look at it. Notice every aspect of the card’s image. Pay attention to the colors, the landscape, the scenery, the elements within the picture, the animals, the birds, the people everything. Now close your eyes and visualize the card. If you can’t see the picture clearly, look at the card for a few more minutes and then try visualizing it again. You may have to consult the card and try to visualize it again a few times to ensure you are pulling its true image into your mind’s eye. Once you have the card in mental clarity visualize that the card is getting bigger and bigger and bigger until it reaches the size of a door. This card becomes a portal or a doorway you can step right through it and enter the picture. Go into the picture and look around you for a few seconds. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the card: is it warm or cold? Does it smell nice? Do you hear anything? Notice everything. Now, slowly start walking towards the person that is there in the card. Greet that person and thank them for letting you visit. Ask them any questions you have. Clear your doubts. And accept their answers. Once you have finished speaking with them be sure to thank them again and ask if its okay to visit again later. Now, turn around and slowly come back to the place where you started. See the boundary of the card and step out of it. Visualize the card slowly becoming smaller and smaller and smaller till it becomes so small that it fits back into your hand. Take a few minutes and then slowly open your eyes.

Make sure to record your experience in your journal so you can consult it any time you need to. The more often you connect like this with your cards, the more familiar you will become with each individual card and your deck as a whole. We look forward to helping you develop your connection and understanding of Tarot every Tuesday.

Empathy- Empaths

Most people feel Empathy for others right? Well at least most people do, there has sometime or another been a situation that someone has gone through, that we cannot imagine what they must be feeling, so we feel empathy for them. However, Psychic Empath’s feel a deeper empathy for others, instead of imagining what they are going through, psychics can actually feel what they are going through, therefore psychics need to be able to learn to differentiate their emotions, from emotions of others.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “empathy” as: “the action of understanding, being sensitive to and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another without having these feelings, thoughts, and experience communicated in an explicit manner; “

Every day empathy for others, compared to Psychic Empathy differs, for example if a child falls and scraps their knee, we see this, they cry and we can imagine the pain they are going through, that is empathy for that child. An example of psychic empathy would be someone going through a inner pain that noone can see and they hide this very well, however the psychic would know and feel the pain of this particular person, as an ordinary person with no psychic ability when we are told “yes, im fine”,we believe them because we cannot feel their pain as a psychic can.

Some people may say that psychics empathy for others is just them being overly sensitive, or babies. We cannot understand ones feelings, without being able to feel it ourselves. So some may not have empathy for others. That’s the difference, can you imagine not only taking on your own feelings, but feeling the pain of others? Psychic Empathy is a strong emotion, that not any of us can truly understand unless put in that situation.

One Card Spread

Welcome back to our Tarot’s with the one card spread, We have been doing an in-depth look at the cards, however if you feel you want to try using your cards while learning more about them then a great place to start is with a one card spread. The single card tarot is used to provide a concise reading, keeping the focus succinct and to the point. This type of reading can be helpful when requiring a more defined answer, it’s like looking at a reading under a magnifying glass!

When you’re working with a solo card, you have the ability to really delve into what it’s message could be. It is important to remember that you are asking a question that you want an objective answer for, not confirmation for the answer you want to receive. While it may be tempting to pull another card for clarification, it is about honoring this card’s message for you in this moment.

Relax and concentrate on your question, once you pull your card, take the time to meditate on it, and its meanings. When you are working with a solo card, you can really delve into what it’s message could be. Take its artwork, its key words, its position all into consideration and apply them to you question as you would if you were reading for someone else. Don’t let your own desire change what the card means for you, even if the answer isn’t the one you wanted to hear.

A one card spread is essentially intuitively selecting a single card to inform on a question or situation. This will require trusting your intuition and require some self-reflection, however it is a great method to use while getting to know your cards. We look forward to helping you develop your connection and understanding of Tarot every Tuesday.
