Am I sick of having a Spiritual Awakening?

Am I Sick or having a Spiritual Awakening?

A spiritual awakening can be described as many things. A sudden discovery of self, a realization of truth, even the shattering of your current reality. Put plainly, a spiritual awaking is when your sense of self is suddenly thrust into the limelight. You will begin to question everything you have ever been taught and may feel simultaneously separated from the world and more connected to it than ever before. Because of the rapid and abrupt shift in all that you are and know, many people also feel physically unwell during an awakening. If you are wondering if you are going through a spiritual awakening, or maybe just have covid we are here to help explain some sure ways to know the difference.

You may experience physical signs of your spiritual awakening rising such as extreme fatigue, brain fog, or forgetfulness. Many people say they experience recurrent headaches as well. Some people find themselves so unwell they have sought out a doctor to see if it is a flu. If you aren’t sure the following are signs that your sickness is more spiritual in nature.

Are you feeling emotionally unstable and easily drained. This fatigue can be attributed to a spiritual awakening if you find its happening in conjunction with heightened awareness. You may find your natural intuition feels as though it’s on speed. When the phone rings, you already know it’s your mother. Your empathy may be becoming more aware not only of the emotions of others but of the nature that surrounds you. Processing this shift is extremely draining for your brain and can result in exhaustion both mentally and physically. Take some time to ground yourself and try silk wrapping your head for a night.

Being faced with the possibility that your old life is no longer serving you. No longer satisfying you spiritually or physically you may find yourself feeling increasingly disconnected from your old and current world as you work to find out your truth. Many people also experience a wide variety of synchronicities from seeing the same numbers over and over again to lucid dreams they then experience shortly after. You may experience simultaneously occurring events that appear to be related to each other. This can also manifest as Deja Vu.

Experiencing nature on a more thoughtful and conscious level is a great way to assist your spiritual awakening. Spending time outdoors in quiet peaceful places, preferably with your shoes off to ground yourself and feel the vibrations and energy that rise from the soil can help with feelings of disconnection and loneliness as well as help sooth the general sensations of being unwell.

Entering a Tarot Card

Tarot for Beginners – How to Enter a Tarot Card

Connecting with your Tarot cards requires you to really bond with them. There are many ways from journaling, to pulling a card a day, to forge a bond with your cards. One of the best ways to create a truly deep connection is to immerse yourself, or enter, your cards. This weeks Tarot for beginners will show you one way to go about entering your tarot.

The very first thing you need to do is make sure you will not be disturbed in any way. Turn off your phone, find a quite space central to your home so no outside distractions will pull your attention away and make sure you have a notebook and pen near by. (You will need to have it handy after you’ve finished your meditation in order to record what you saw and experienced. This is very important because you should record everything right after you have experienced it so that you don’t leave out or forget stuff.) You will also need to select your card, this can be done purely by intuition, your deck will know which card you need to connect with.

Either lie down or sit comfortably in a chair. Once you are comfortable, hold your selected card in front of you and look at it. Notice every aspect of the card’s image. Pay attention to the colors, the landscape, the scenery, the elements within the picture, the animals, the birds, the people everything. Now close your eyes and visualize the card. If you can’t see the picture clearly, look at the card for a few more minutes and then try visualizing it again. You may have to consult the card and try to visualize it again a few times to ensure you are pulling its true image into your mind’s eye. Once you have the card in mental clarity visualize that the card is getting bigger and bigger and bigger until it reaches the size of a door. This card becomes a portal or a doorway you can step right through it and enter the picture. Go into the picture and look around you for a few seconds. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the card: is it warm or cold? Does it smell nice? Do you hear anything? Notice everything. Now, slowly start walking towards the person that is there in the card. Greet that person and thank them for letting you visit. Ask them any questions you have. Clear your doubts. And accept their answers. Once you have finished speaking with them be sure to thank them again and ask if its okay to visit again later. Now, turn around and slowly come back to the place where you started. See the boundary of the card and step out of it. Visualize the card slowly becoming smaller and smaller and smaller till it becomes so small that it fits back into your hand. Take a few minutes and then slowly open your eyes.

Make sure to record your experience in your journal so you can consult it any time you need to. The more often you connect like this with your cards, the more familiar you will become with each individual card and your deck as a whole. We look forward to helping you develop your connection and understanding of Tarot every Tuesday.

Grounding yourself is important

Mental and emotional health and well-being is such a crucial part of our overall health and well-being. Too often we prioritize physical health only and ignore mental and emotional health, until it becomes overwhelmingly important and urgent to address. Covid-19 has made many of us hypervigilant of our physical health, while isolation and stress has built up while our mental health is neglected. Make sure you are investing time and energy into all areas of well-being.

Two of the biggest tools to take care of your mental health and reground yourself are meditation and gems. So many of us are rushing through our lives from one thing to another, with no breaks. Or even when we take a “break,” we are scrolling through our phone or listening to music. There is tremendous power in silence. Especially deliberate silence, where we consciously choose to eliminate the noise and distraction and just be with ourselves completely. Setting a timer for five minutes a day of sitting in silence meditating can be immensely powerful. While you meditate put deliberate focus on the breath. The breath is a great tool because it’s always with us. And, again, deliberately choosing to slow our breath down has countless benefits to our body, our nervous system, our emotional well-being and our mind.

If you find that meditation alone is not enough right now, you are not alone! There are a few stones you can add around your home and carry with you that can also help reground and balance you. Hematite is one of the most powerful grounding stones, hematite’s energy connects you deep into the Earth. This ensures you remain firmly rooted and able to focus on the current moment. You may also find Red Jasper particularly helpful during this time. Red jasper is a warm, gentle stone for grounding that brings strength and stamina to the fore. Red jasper is also a stabilizer. This is important during times of stress or when you need emotional balance.

It’s important to remember that all cards regardless of whether they appear “negative” or “positive” have a positive side to them.
