All about Akashic Records

All about Akashic Records

Close you eyes and picture the biggest library your mind can fathom, now imagine that every single shelf is filled with an account of every souls journey and experiences. This is how people often think of the Akashic Records. It is believed that when one enters the Akashic Records, you can access all information about your past lives, present, and future lives and also all information about the paths of others. In general, this record is considered a place where all truths are known.

The term Akashic has its roots in the Sanskrit word “Akasha” meaning “ether” or associated with the atmosphere. In metaphysical teachings, Akasha is the element of magic. It is also the elemental synthesis of the four physical elements, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Thus the Akashic Records are thought to exist in the ether and embody all aspects of all occurrences that have taken place, including human lifetimes.

Some people believe that a guide must help you enter the Akashic Records and that you need the approval to investigate specific information about your path or the paths of others, in order to keep you from delving into information for which you are not ready or which may be counterproductive for you to have. However, we are all psychic beings and the Akashic Records, as part of the Collective Unconscious, links all of us as individuals with the Divine.

The biggest obstacles to accessing the wisdom of the Akashic Records can be doubt and fear. If you have high expectations that it has to look or feel a certain way, you may actually block yourself. Instead try to keep an open mind to what appears through all of your senses. Though it is believed that the Akashic Records contain all information about events past, present, and future, and thus are valuable for divination and healing, it is also believed some boundaries apply. Think of searching the Akashic Records in a similar way to doing a Google search. You can call up a search for specific information about disease and healing, about past lives, about relationships, about soul contracts, and the like. Yet, you will also have to go through the filters from your guides. If your guides don’t see you as being ready to have a full view of certain details, you may be blocked from receiving certain information at a given time

Tarot- The Fool

The Card

On the Fool Tarot card, a young man stands on the edge of a cliff, as he sets out on a new adventure. He is gazing upwards toward the heavens seemingly unaware that he is about to step off a precipice into the unknown. Over his shoulder he carries his belongings in a small bundle. The white rose in his left hand represents his purity and innocence. And at his feet is a small white dog, representing loyalty and protection. The mountains behind the Fool symbolize the challenges to be faced in the future.

Interpretation

When drawn upright the fool represents beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, and a free spirit. When drawn reversed it represents holding back, recklessness, and risk-taking.

The Fool’s Journey

The Fool stands for each of us as we begin our journey of life. He is a fool because only a simple soul has the innocent faith to undertake such a journey with all its hazards and pain. At the start of his trip, the Fool is a newborn – fresh, open and spontaneous. The figure on Card 0 has his arms flung wide, and his head held high. He is ready to embrace whatever comes his way, unaware of the risks & downfalls coming to them. You’ll see that the struggles of The Fool get more enlightened as they go on and encounter the rest of the deck, mirroring our own journeys.

Journaling Tarot

In our last tarot for If you wondered exactly what you should be journaling do not worry this week is all about your Tarot Journal! Journals are especially useful tools in all stages of tarot experience you can keep track of all your cards and keep yourself on track with a daily practice.

Journaling really is the best way for you to develop your skills, as a beginner or an experienced reader. There are countless ways to journal about tarot, but the approaches most people found helpful were to write down the readings themselves, and creating your own tarot notebook, one full sheet (unlined, front and back) per card. Keeping a written journal can help you keep track of your tarot experiences in a way that is solely your own.

Your tarot notebook is as simple as picking a random card and then grabbing coffee while you review all your favorite tarot resources and jot down your impressions is a fun way to pass the time. One of the best ways to format this notebook is to have four sections per card:

Key words, imagery, related quotes, etc. for the card in question.

The next section addresses interpretations for when the card is reversed (upside-down) covering the same information as the first section the key words and related quotes.

Next two or three paragraphs about the core idea or energy that the card seems to encapsulate along with a summary of the healthy or unhealthy ways that the idea or energy might be expressed. Think of this as your “synthesis” section.

A bulleted list of memorable, real-life situations where you have seen the card in readings.

Your writing doesn’t have to be perfect! The journal is a tool for self-reflection, a meditation that is as important as reading the cards themselves. And if your reflections aren’t coming easy, be patient. Sometimes it takes a while to get into the swing of things. You could start by just writing card meanings to memorize them, then expand from there.
